Self-haul chipping events are hosted at Fishtail Ranch in the Brazos Canyon.  Property Owners in the Brazos Canyon Fire District can bring limbs to Fishtail Ranch to be chipped by Fishtail Employees after being unloaded by Brazos Firewise Volunteers. Advanced Registration is Required for this and all Community Chipping Events.

This event is for residents in the Brazos Canyon Fire District only, not for  Contractors or Tree Service Vendors.

Chipping Event Guidelines

• Maximum of 3 load per property owner for self-haul chipping events
• Maximum diameter of limbs is 8″
• No thorns, pine needles or leaves accepted
• No construction materials or metal should be placed in brush piles 
• No raked debris, rocks, dirt, trash or root wads should be placed in brush piles
• Piles with thorns or ground juniper branches will not be accepted
• Please stack limbs into trailers to support easy removal
• Large ends of branches should face the rear of the truck or trailer
• No mechanical loading as branches must be hand lifted out of trucks or trailers
• No early or late hauling
